One imaging platform, from routine gels to regulated Western blots
Every Syngene system is built around the same core promise – sharp, reproducible, publication-quality images, whether you’re documenting a simple agarose gel or running a multiplex fluorescent Western blot under GLP conditions.
High-resolution CCD/CMOS imaging
Sensitive cameras (5MP to 24.1MP) paired with motor-driven zoom or fixed lenses capture both DNA/RNA and protein gels with sharp, closely-spaced band resolution.
Multiplex Hi-LED illumination
Full-colour RGB, far-red (FR), and infrared (IR) Hi-LED modules – combined with a multi-position gantry offering up to five light sources – enable multiplex fluorescence Western blotting, chemiluminescence, stain-free imaging, and gel documentation from a single platform.
GeneSys & GeneTools software
Intuitive GeneSys capture software handles single and series chemi/fluorescence acquisition, while GeneTools delivers quantification, editing, and export – with GLP and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance plus IQOQPQ validation available on the premium range.
Compare Syngene gel documentation and chemiluminescence imaging systems side by side to find the right platform for your laboratory. From routine gel documentation to high-sensitivity chemiluminescence and multiplex fluorescence imaging, each system is designed to match different research, teaching, and regulated laboratory workflows.

The DigiGenius is Syngene’s entry-level, economical option, purpose-built for straightforward, reliable gel documentation of nucleic acid and protein gels, making it an ideal starting point for teaching laboratories and routine research applications.
Gel documentation systems such as DigiGenius and NuGenius XE are designed for imaging DNA, RNA, and protein gels under UV or blue-light illumination. Chemiluminescence and fluorescence systems in the G:Box mini and G:Box chemi ranges add multiplex Hi-LED illumination (RGB, far-red, and infrared) with high-sensitivity cameras to support Western blot imaging, multiplex fluorescence, stain-free imaging, tissue imaging, and in-vivo fluorescence applications.
Both ranges use the same GeneSys and GeneTools software together with multiplex Hi-LED illumination. The G:Box mini models feature a compact footprint and smaller viewing area, making them ideal for laboratories with limited bench space. The G:Box chemi range offers a larger imaging area and gantry, supporting larger samples, tissue sections, multi-well plates, and advanced fluorescence imaging.
The G:Box chemi XX6/XX9 is Syngene’s flagship chemiluminescence and fluorescence imaging platform. Equipped with a 6 MP or 9 MP camera and a high-performance F/0.8 lens, it delivers exceptional sensitivity for film-quality Western blot imaging without requiring a darkroom.
Yes. The G:Box mini 6/9, G:Box mini XRQ, G:Box chemi XRQ, and G:Box chemi XX6/XX9 support GLP and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, with IQ/OQ/PQ validation documentation available for laboratories operating in regulated environments.
A PCR workstation uses HEPA-filtered vertical laminar airflow to maintain a continuously clean working environment during PCR sample preparation, minimizing airborne contamination. A Dead Air box provides the same enclosed, UV-sterilized workspace but without active airflow, making it suitable for applications where maximum contamination control is not required.
Yes. Systems such as the G:Box F3 lfb can be upgraded with an optional chemiluminescence module, and the entire G:Box family shares the GeneSys and GeneTools software platform, allowing users to move to more advanced models without changing their workflow.
