Description

Polymicrobial infections are caused by two or more microorganisms at the same infection site. Skin and soft-tissue infections (SSTI) are common and can lead to serious local and systemic complications. Secondary bacterial infection often complicates skin lesions including scabies, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, eczema, and kerion (fungal infection of hair follicle). Over 50% of SSTI cases involve polymicrobial infection. O2 DERM is formulated to effectively manage such infections.

Indications

  • Skin infection – Ringworm (Tinea Cruris / Tinea Pedis / Tinea Corporis)
  • Secondary infection in Psoriasis / Eczema / Atopic dermatitis / Kerion
  • Wounds
  • Vaginitis
  • Vulvovaginitis

Composition

  • Ofloxacin – 0.75% w/w
  • Ornidazole – 2% w/w
  • Terbinafine – 1% w/w
  • Clobetasol Propionate – 0.05% w/w

Administration

Apply twice daily for 3–10 days depending on severity.
1 FTU (Finger Tip Unit) covers skin area twice the size of your palm.
FTU = From tip of finger to the first crease of the finger.

Precautions

Caution advised in nursing women.
