The Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants was established by the Financial Reporting Act 2004 to supervise and regulate the accountancy profession, promote the highest standards of professional and business conduct, and enhance the quality of services offered by professional accountants in Mauritius.
Vision
The vision of MIPA is to be an internationally recognised accounting body serving its members and the profession and protecting the interests of the wider community. MIPA is a member of the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA) and is also a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
