In February 1994, an Extraordinary General Meeting of the shareholders of the Mauritius Commercial Bank Finance Corporation Limited approved the disposal of the banking business of the company to MCB to concentrate thereafter on investing activities. In line with the reorientation of its activities, the company changed its name to Fincorp Investment Limited. In the same year, the newly-named company successfully applied for an official listing on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.In December 2006, Fincorp Investment Ltd proceeded with the buy-back and cancellation of 16,799,520 of its own shares held by Lloyds TSB Bank Plc. The company is now a subsidiary of MCB Group Limited which owns 57.56% of its capital.
Fincorp Investment Ltd. has one wholly owned subsidiary, namely Finlease Company Ltd.
Associate companies are Promotion and Development Ltd. (PAD) and Caudan Development Ltd. where the group holds 46.39% and 34.52% stakes, respectively.
Fincorp has a 15% minority stake in Mauritius Freeport Development Limited.
