The Association of Human Resource Professionals of Mauritius (MAHRP), formerly known as the Association of Personnel Managers, has been in existence since 1976. Its main aim is to promote and develop professionalism in Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development in the Republic of Mauritius. MAHRP attempts to take a positive and initiating role, seeking to influence the occupational and social environment, legislation, industrial relations and management thinking. MAHRP aims to be the guardian of high standards in the practice of Human Resource Management and Development.

AHRC
The Mauritian Association has been instrumental in the creation of the African Human Resources Confederation which represents the African continent on the World Federation of People Management Associations. Areff Salauroo is presently its President.
Membership
The association has three categories of membership, namely; Student Members, Individual Members and Corporate Members.
