MCB Target Date Fund
Depending on its proximity to the Target Date, the Fund will endeavour to achieve various objectives to varying degrees (growth, income and conservation of capital) by investing in a mix of local and foreign securities in different combinations and weightings. As the Fund approaches and passes the Target Date, it will increasingly place more emphasis on income and conservation of capital by investing a greater portion of its assets in bonds or other fixed-income securities and high-yielding equities. In this endeavour the Fund will seek to balance the total return and stability over time in light of the investment objectives.
MCB Nifty Fund
The Fund’s objective is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing primarily in listed equities on the Indian market. It aims at providing exposure to the 50 largest companies in India as per the CNX Nifty Index (The “Index”).The Manager seeks to produce a before-fee performance approaching that of the Index. The Manager believes that by tracking the Index, the portfolio will have diversified exposure to stocks and sectors of the Indian economy while also benefiting from the low impact costs of trading companies with large market capitalisations.
MCB Africa Bond Fund
The objective of the Fund is to outperform the return of the MCB 1-5yr Africa Bond Index by creating a diversified portfolio of fixed and floating-rate instruments in a variety of currencies that are expected to appreciate in the long term. Africa comprises 54 countries all of which have reached a different level of development in local bond markets.
ThisFund has been structured to focus on countries that have reached a target score of 40 on the scoring methodology designed by Concerto Financial Solutions, a specialist provider of indices based in Germany. MCB Capital Markets appointed Concerto Financial Solutions to create and manage the MCB 1-5yr Africa Bond Index. The index is well-diversified and has strict rules of admission for countries and their debt securities.
