The SME start-up programme has been created by the government of Mauritius to help entrepreneurs in their business journey. Training will be given to entrepreneurs for a year, and will be held once a week. Upon completion of this program , participants will be able to promote their products and services with the help of the institution.
This program will take place during 12 months and is divided into three stages. The first stage is called technical assistance where help will be given to conceptualize the business, design a proper business plan, and do market research. Then they will move on to the next stage where they will get coaching and mentoring done by experts who are specialized in the field of marketing products and services. This stage duration will be 4 months, and once they pass this stage they will move on to the final stage called scale up the business and will take 5 months. The aspiring entrepreneurs will be able to pitch.
