Don&#8217;t Wait for Complete Failure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many plants replace thermocouples only after they stop working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, in critical applications, a thermocouple can lose accuracy long before it fails completely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Replace Sensors Based on Operating Hours or Months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Define a preventive replacement interval based on process severity, operating temperature, and historical experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cost of planned replacement is often insignificant compared to the cost of process instability, product rejection, or shutdowns caused by inaccurate temperature measurement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Select the Correct Sheath Material and Diameter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The protection sheath plays a major role in sensor life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose sheath materials that can withstand the continuous operating temperature of the application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verify the material&#8217;s maximum continuous temperature capability, not just short-term exposure limits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In corrosive or oxidizing environments, material compatibility is as important as temperature resistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6.
